The Partisan è un brano reinterpretato e inciso da Leonard Cohen, con la versione contenuta nell'album Songs from a Room pubblicato nel 1969. Secondo lavoro in studio per il cantautore romano, si rivela il suo primo successo internazionale regalando al mondo assolute pietre miliari della "Canzone d'autore". Il pezzo, quarta traccia del lato A, risale al 1943 e si riferisce alla resistenza partigiana francese durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale; musica e parole portano la firma di Hy Zaret e Anna Marly.
