The Sound of Silence è un celebre brano composto da Paul Simon nel 1964, coverizzato in chiave Heavy Metal dai Disturbed nel loro album Immortalized pubblicato nel 2015. Si tratta del quinto lavoro in studio per la band statunitense, riscuote ottimo successo di pubblico aggiudicandosi 500,000 copie vendute negli USA e 100,000 in Inghilterra. La canzone, ovviamente conosciutissima, ha una veste completamente diversa, la storica chitarra acustica però, rimane.
