Intro: MI MI SI LA MI 'Twas in another lifetime, one of toil and blood SI LA When blackness was a virtue the road was full of mud MI SI I came in from the wilderness, LA creature void of form MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI MI SI LA MI And if I pass this way again, you can rest assured SI I'll always do my best for her, LA on that I give my word MI SI In a world of steel-eyed death, LA and men who are fighting to be warm MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI Not a word was spoke between us, LA MI there was little risk involved SI LA Everything up to that point had been left unresolved MI SI Try imagining a place LA where it's always safe and warm MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI SI LA MI I was burned out from exhaustion, buried in the hail SI LA Poisoned in the bushes an' blown out on the trail MI SI LA Hunted like a crocodile, ravaged in the corn MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI SI LA MI Suddenly I turned around and she was standin' there SI With silver bracelets on her wrists LA and flowers in her hair MI SI She walked up to me so gracefully LA and took my crown of thorns MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI MI SI Now there's a wall between us, LA MI somethin' there's been lost SI I took too much for granted, LA I got my signals crossed MI SI Just to think that it all began LA on an uneventful morn MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI MI SI Well, the deputy walks on hard nails LA MI and the preacher rides a mount SI But nothing really matters much, LA it's doom alone that counts MI SI LA And the one-eyed undertaker, he blows a futile horn MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI MI SI I've heard newborn babies wailin' LA MI like a mournin' dove SI LA And old men with broken teeth stranded without love MI SI Do I understand your question, man, LA is it hopeless and forlorn MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI MI SI In a little hilltop village, LA MI they gambled for my clothes SI I bargained for salvation LA and she gave me a lethal dose MI SI LA I offered up my innocence I got repaid with scorn MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA MI I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI MI SI Well, I'm livin' in a foreign country LA MI but I'm bound to cross the line SI Beauty walks a razor's edge, LA someday I'll make it mine MI SI If I could only turn back the clock LA to when God and her were born MI Come in, she said SI LA MI SI LA I'll give ya shelter from the storm MI SI LA MI SI LA MI SI LA MI SI LA MI SI LA MI SI LA MI SI LA MI SI LA MI SI LA MI

Shelter from the Storm: Video

Shelter from the Storm è un brano scritto e interpretato da Robert Allen Zimmerman, noto come Bob Dylan, contenuto nell'album Blood on the Tracks pubblicato nel 1975.
